1955 · Extra items from Germany/Italy

The Box

While going through my dad's things I found a small box of items from 1955, when he was stationed in Germany. Postcards, photo cards and a few pamplets/brochures, all packed away with no notes or writing. Stashed away separately from photo ablums and his collection of negatives. Only after digitizing his 1955 album did I realize where these items came from and how they fit together, in some cases, literally. He chose to keep them but not include in the album. Presented here, open the box and view the extra extras.

The pool photo, solved. The swimming pool photo pasted into the album, the one I always figured was cut from a magazine, turns out to be cut directly from the Parkhotel Wehrle brochure in this box. The missing rectangle in the brochure lines up exactly with the photo in the album.
